Xrp and Ethereum Classic up 10% amid small Sunday slump

XRP and Ethereum Classic are up 10% today, despite a 0.52% drop in the global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies.

According to data collector Nomics, xrp earns $ 59.13 billion from crypto-capitalization in the $ 2.10 trillion global Sunday, making it the seventh largest cryptocurrency. It is trading at $ 1.27, up 10.19 per cent overnight. Sunday May hit $ 1.32, the highest price since May.

The XRP rally has been gathering pace in recent days. Friday Saturday was up 6% and Saturday morning’s overnight gain was 11.38%. 

Ripple Labs, the ancestor of Xrp, is locked in a lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on December 22. The SEC alleges that Ripple Labs sold XRP as part of the sale of unregistered securities. Ripple claims that XRP is not Security. 

Ethereum Classic was also up 10.41% on the night. The Ethereum fork, launched in 2016, is currently trading at $ 70.39.

DAO stands for” Decentralized Autonomous Organization”; each DAO uses smart contracts to simulate the management of a shareholder-led company. 

In June 2016, security flaws in the original DAO were used by attackers during a heist that cost $ 55 million. The Ethereum network decided to remove the infringing transactions, but the Ethereum Classic network kept them in the registry. 

Ethereum does not share the fate of a less exalted relative today. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has fallen 2.96% in the past 24 hours, trading at $ 3,152. 

Meanwhile, Little has changed for the world’s largest cryptocurrency.Dec. Bitcoin remains just under 46,000 dollars. A small drop in the market made it possible to reduce its cost by only 1.72%.
