Why does Vitalik Buterin think Ethereum is a threat to its competitors?

Vitalik Buterin, the inventor of Ethereum, talked about Eth 2.0., memes, upcoming upgrades, stablecoins and their value and competitors at the Virtual Fintech Forum at StartmeupHK Festival 2021. Despite the success of the ecosystem and an impressive rally, Ethereum's main critics point to its technical difficulties, high costs and a desire to move from a Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS). But for Buterin, the hard part of working at Ethereum goes beyond the technical challenges. The human factor was the main problem of the project and the main reason for delays in some parts of it. Buterin said: "One of the biggest problems I've found in our project are human problems, not technical ones. Ethereum is now in a better economic position, but it took us five years to get to where we are today. We've had a lot of intra-team conflicts in these five years. When building a team, it's important to know who you're working with. At first, Buterin thought that Ethereum would be built in three months. This target has been extended by a year and a half. Something similar happened with Eth 2.0. We thought it would take a year to do the proof of stake, but it actually takes six years. If you're doing something complex that you think will take some time, it will probably take a lot more time. This is something a lot of people will tell you, but if you haven't done a project yourself, you might not believe it – but it's the truth. Could Ethereum be its own killer? Regarding future upgrades of ETH, Buterin stressed that PoS Blockchain or Eth 2.0 will not "throw" Eth 1.0. Instead, core developers will introduce an "incremental set of changes". Ultimately, both chains will work together and coexist. The two stack on top of each other, so add and smash once, things on top of Ethereum and Eth
