Simply: former CFTC chief says bitcoin ETF will be beneficial to investors and regulators

Timothy Massad, former head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), was the latest US regulator to defend the bitcoin ETF. The bitcoin ETF will be useful for Sunday transparency and integrity, Mossad said. Mossad published an article citing the hype and regulatory hurdles associated with the bitcoin exchange traded fund. He wrote,

“While it is better for such ETFs to be approved only after Congress generally tightens crypto rules, it is unlikely that this will happen soon. Then the second best thing the SEC can do is conditionally approve the ETF in a way that increases transparency and integrity in the industry.”

Before Mossad, SEC Commissioner Esther Pierce also called the SEC over delays in bitcoin ETF approval.

The message is this: the former CFTC chairman says the bitcoin ETF will be useful to investors, and regulators should do so first at coingape.
