Watch this episode on YouTube Listen to this episode: AppleSpotifyGoogleLibsynOvercast On this episode of Bitcoin Magazine's "Meet The Taco Plebs", I sat down with Zac Watson (@zwatson on Twitter) to share his story about the Bitcoin rabbit hole, his thoughts on Bitcoin, its impact on life and future price predictions. Watson gave detailed information about his friends who introduced him to Bitcoin in 2013 and his passion for Bitcoin that made him interested in Bitcoin. We discussed Bitcoin 2021 and the great experiences we had all weekend. To finish, we talked about what he believes to be the most surprising part of bitcoin: most importantly, Bitcoin allows people to become self-sovereign by freeing themselves from government pressure. We also explained how welcoming the Bitcoin community is. Below is more about Watson's journey to bitcoin. What's your story about Bitcoin's rabbit hole? My rabbit hole story is not very exciting or exaggerated. I first heard of Bitcoin in 2012 or 2013 when I was back in high school. A friend said I wanted some, but I didn't think much of it other than "hmm, that's interesting". Fast-forwarding back to 2016 a few years later: I had some very engaged, very tech-savvy, and free-spirited friends. These guys were pretty smart and I had some respect for them. They always seemed very progressive so I thought I should probably start paying attention and learning more about this magical internet money. A little later in the year, some of us went to this music festival, the Electric Forest, and my friend Brad was holding a huge flagpole with a planet earth flag and a Bitcoin flag. Watching him wave with enthusiasm and violence all weekend really planted a seed and helped the odds.
