eToro Appoints Dr Hedva Ber, Former Israeli Banking Supervisor as Deputy CEO and Global COO

Dr Ber will lead eToro's operational infrastructure, corporate governance, compliance and regulatory affairs, legal affairs, risk management and social responsibility. Dr. Ber has more than 25 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Between 2015 and 2020, as Israel's banking regulator, Ms. Ber actively promoted digital transformation and the application of innovation and technological change in the banking and payment industry. Previously, he held various management positions at Bank Leumi, the last of which was the Chief Risk Officer. Dr. Ber served on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London between 2005-2008. He received his doctorate in economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Dr Ber is recognized as one of Israel's leading influential economists, who has revolutionized the banking industry.
