Do You Have Bitcoin? $ 3.3 million in BTC buys lush property overlooking a vineyard in California wine country

In Sonoma County, California, a million-dollar property with panoramic views of the vineyard is for sale for $ 3.3 million, according to the new listing. The 4,400-square-foot property with three beds and three bathrooms in Santa Rosa can be purchased for cash or bitcoin (BTC), the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Real estate listing agent Lisa Thomas said the seller decided to accept Bitcoin, the world’s leading cryptocurrency, by joining other sellers open to the cryptocurrency as payment.

“Our client is very knowledgeable about bitcoin. We’ve had to look everywhere for an escrow and liquidation company that can handle it, but they’re starting to keep up with the Times.”

Thomas October,

“I think we’re going to see a lot more of these transactions… those with digital currencies need liquidity.”

At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $ 38,300 for coingecko, meaning the asking price of the property was around 86 BTC.

The property is spread over 17 hectares and includes a main house with exposed timber beamed ceilings, cherry floors and custom cabinets, according to the listing. Other amenities include an outdoor kitchen, a swimming pool, a wine cellar and a deckhouse with a bedroom and office.

Real estate in Santa Rosa is the latest several million dollar property to be sold for cryptocurrency in the US and around the world. Earlier this year, a 33% stake in the island of Florida, popularly known as beer Tin Island, was decimated by an auction whose sellers accepted unspecified cryptocurrencies.

In June 2019, the owner of the oceanfront property in the Florida Keys, valued at $ 2.19 million, listed bitcoins, Ethereum, Lightcoins and other crypto assets as well as an acceptable form of payment.
