Creator Charles Hoskinson says Cardano will reach critical milestones in 2021

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), says Cardano is preparing to meet the big goals it set for itself in 2016. In a new interview with Forbes, Hoskinson shares the latest developments to reach key milestones in Cardano (ADA) this year. “2021 is a kind of transition year where we got together and achieved everything we've dreamed of over the past five years. This includes things like our governance stack, smart contracts, our metadata standard, token printing, full decentralization. We've achieved almost all of our goals: we've done metadata, now we have a native icon. More than 10,000 tokens were issued in Cardano in just one month, which is amazing. It also lists plans for Cardano in the coming months, including the deployment of the Alonzo test network, which will bring smart contract functionality to the blockchain. He says the plan is ultimately to create the best business product. We will be offering smart contracts in the coming months. The last kilometer from there – we'll activate all the control components … Once these are enabled, the platform is already on the market. Hoskinson also comments on Cardano's current efforts, including projects aimed at competing with the Ethereum ecosystem. "We make nation states do great things and we attract millions of users with this push model. We also offer decentralized, unchangeable financial token marketplaces – all the usual suspects you see in the Ethereum lab.
