Coinbase Finally Adds Dogecoin and Price Increases

Popular US exchange Coinbase adds Dogecoin to its Pro trading platform. According to a blog post today, users can transfer DOGE to their accounts with trading starting June 3, provided the exchange has sufficient liquidity. DOGE is not yet available in Coinbase's default app. Dogecoin is the seventh largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $43.7 billion. In the news, the price of DOGE has increased by 5% in the last hour and is now selling at $0.33. DOGE, made as a joke on Bitcoin, was defended by Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Despite being listed on multiple exchanges, it has become more widely known due to the growing popularity of crypto trading on the Robinhood mobile app, where it is one of only seven assets listed. This article will be updated as news develops.
